ChasePlane was initially released in October 2016 and has been actively maintained thru multiple full sim updates. It was a stable ride thru FSX / P3D V4 with add-ons mostly working on both platforms with minor limitations/variations. However, the past few years have brought significant changes to the world of Flight Simulation, and it is only accelerating. We've experienced quite the market split from new platform options, and then Lockheed Martin delivers Prepar3D V6, only to seemingly split it even more, at least at the personal user level.

In all these years, we've continued maintaining relationships that enable licensing ChasePlane for commercial simulators and training centers. Well, the dedication to the commercial sector by Lockheed Martin has somewhat reignited these relationships. So let's get to the good news.

INTRODUCING CHASEPLANE PROFESSIONAL

ChasePlane Professional has been fully optimized for Prepar3D V6, completely untangling and removing almost a decade of code supporting old sim versions. FSX support is gone, and Prepar3D V1-5 support is gone. It's lean, clean, and optimized for Prepar3D V6 to minimize required resources. ChasePlane presets will import without issue, as this was a key feature for training facilities that manage multiple installs.

While this version will work with the Personal Prepar3D license, we don't expect casual users to transition due to the lack of aircraft and add-ons; upgrade pricing is unavailable. Commercial licensing will cover all Prepar3D V6 point updates but will not include a full version jump like V7.
