Now that we are all past that 97%, we have new updates on our transition to MSFS2024.
Our 2024 Compatibility Dashboard now displays a clear status for each product, showing which will be upgraded to 2024 Native and which will only go 2024 Compatible. Before I break it down to our individual product plans, here is what you can expect:
- Our previously announced 6-month window is now extended to 1-year. That means products released within one year of 19 November 2024 will receive free updates to 2024 Native versions.
- $2 Fee for products outside of this one-year window. A small fee for 2024 Native versions (unless specified below) for current owners. This low-cost approach balances fairness to you with the significant development efforts required to bring our products into the new simulator.
Timeframe
None of the items below have a specified timeframe. Nor will we attempt to estimate one, as they move from not started to "in the works" or "now available" they will be updated on the 2024 Compatibility Dashboard. Check back often, or follow our socials for further announcements.
Product-by-Product Breakdown
Flow
- Flow FREE: Will remain exclusive to MSFS 2020 and will not be rebuilt for MSFS 2024.
- Essentials & Pro: Fully Native 2024 versions will be developed.
- Community Widgets: Fully supported in Flow Pro but may require updates by individual creators
- Cost: $2 to update the 2020 version to a 2024 Native version for current owners.
SimFX
- A fully rebuilt 2024 Native version is on the way with an adjusted price point and updated feature set.
- Cost: Free for current owners.
Immersion Packs
- Dependent on associated aircraft updates in MSFS 2024.
- Upgrades may feature adjusted feature sets.
- Cost: Free for current owners.
Fox2 Packages
- An update will be released to make Fox2 2024 Compatible. This will ensure continued functionality for existing Fox2 products.
- Cost: Free compatibility update for current owners.
But wait, there's more...
- A completely-new Fox2 (v2) will be built from scratch, it will fully embrace all the new MSFS 2024 features, WWISE sounds, and will put to practice all that we have learned since the release of what is today, our oldest product.

Juice Goose
- The 2024 Native version is already in testing and drives better than ever!
- Cost: $2 to update the 2020 version to a 2024 Native version for current owners.
Campout Utility
- A 2024 NATIVE version is in progress to restore proper functionality.
- Cost: $2 to update the 2020 version to a 2024 Native version for current owners.
Simstaller
- Quite possibly our most downloaded product ever. A 2024 Compatible version is now available. Don't worry about finding your new Community folder, let Simstaller handle it!
- Cost: FREE !
Scenes
- All scenes will be fully rebuilt as 2024 Native versions.
- Cost: $2 to update the 2020 version to a 2024 Native version for current owners.
- We've got A LOT of work in this patch, so please be patient with us as we work through the list.
In closing
Out of our 37 products, 30 will receive updates to become either 2024 Compatible or Native, with detailed statuses available on our 2024 Compatibility Dashboard.
Updates will roll out in phases, starting with utilities, followed by vehicles, and then scenery. If you own every //42 product, updating all supported products to their 2024 Native versions will cost just $20—and even less, if you own bundled offerings like FF/F2 Complete.
While we have a significant amount of work ahead, with timelines ranging from weeks to months for some products, we’re committed to keeping the dashboard updated with progress.
Our small $2 upgrade fee per is a way of thanking you for your patience and ensuring fairness as we deliver products that are not only functional in MSFS 2024 but better than ever.
