Wow. Where did the time go? Four years ago, we invited you to a quiet little campground with a few questionable guests. Some of you found Jason. Some of you found the nearest exit. With Halloween creeping up again, it’s time to welcome you back.
And with the new Crystal Lake prequel series bringing fresh attention to the infamous lake, the timing couldn’t be better. Whether you’ve been a fan since the original film or the show has you curious about a visit, we’ve got a place for you to land. Getting comfortable is entirely at your own risk.
Camp Crystal Lake returns as 42CCL, a fully native product for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
When we first released this scene in 2022, Friday the 13th was celebrating its 42nd anniversary. A number we couldn’t possibly ignore. I shared the story of watching the original with my cousins, hiding behind a sofa, and discovering that horror movies and vivid dreams are a terrible combination.
Four years later, I’m still not a fan of horror movies. Apparently tho, I’m perfectly fine inviting you into one!
One company. One twisted team. One very familiar lake.
Camp Crystal Lake is to Jason Voorhees what Elm Street is to Freddy Krueger. On a stormy night in 1980, 12 friends went missing. Why should this Halloween be any different? Rumor has it Jason was buried on site…and every year, some of horror’s most infamous icons gather on the grounds to celebrate his life.
This time, leave the aircraft behind, we have Avatar Mode!
MSFS 2024’s Avatar Mode puts you on the ground for a much more personal visit. Land, step outside, and explore the campgrounds. Follow the illuminated paths, explore, and take your time.
Think of it as a haunted theme park. Some things deserve a closer look. Others might start moving if you hang around long enough. Whatever you do, make sure you have the sound cranked up!
NOTE: New ICAO in MSFS 2024 is 42CCL
Welcome back, campers. Will you find Jason dead or alive?
